Cuardaigh LA-ACCESSIBILITY
An raibh a fhios agat seo?
  • Sular tugadh isteach an Local Government (Ireland) Act 1898 níor bhain daonlathas le riarachán cúrsaí áitiúla agus bhí siad gan ord gan eagar mar go ndéantaí cinntí beartais i bhfad ó bhaile i Londain agus gurbh ar leas na dtiarnaí talún den chuid ba mhó a dhéantaí sin.
  • Tharla sé mar thoradh ar reifreann na bliana 1999 go n-aithnítear an Rialtas Áitiúil go dearfach anois agus go dtugtar tacaíocht dó sa cheapadh dlí is bunúsaí dá bhfuil againn – Bunreacht na hÉireann.
